Commonwealth Trade & Investment Summit 2026: Turning Dialogue into Action April 20th – 21st April 2026.
Today at Mansion House in London, we had the privilege of attending the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit (CTIS) 2026—and more importantly, playing a role in shaping the conversations that matter.
As a supporting sponsor, it was a strong moment to stand alongside global leaders committed to driving meaningful collaboration across the Commonwealth.
Hosted by Lord Marland, Chairman of CWEIC, the summit brought together an exceptional group of political and business leaders, including:
- The Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Commonwealth Secretary-General
- Dame Susan Langley DBE, Lord Mayor of the City of London
- Ian Borg, Deputy Prime Minister of Malta
- Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State
- H.E. Felix Mbayu, Minister of External Relations (Commonwealth), Cameroon
- H.E. Minister Paul Tassong – Minister Delegate in charge of Planning · Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Cameroon
Leaders and delegates travelled from across the globe to London, reinforcing the scale and relevance of the Commonwealth network—56 countries, 2.7 billion people, and some of the fastest-growing markets in the world.
From Global Challenges to Practical Solutions
This year’s theme, “Commonwealth Solutions to Global Challenges,” wasn’t just rhetoric. The agenda tackled real issues:
- The future of AI
- Sustainable energy transitions
- Infrastructure investment
- Health technologies
- The evolving global financial system
What stood out was the shift from discussion to execution. The closed-door roundtables and direct engagement created space for practical, actionable outcomes—not just policy talk.
Promethean’s Role: Education as Infrastructure
For us at Promethean International, the focus was clear:
education is foundational infrastructure for economic growth.
We were proud to showcase our digital classroom solutions, backed by real-world case studies—particularly from Cameroon, where technology is already transforming learning outcomes.
But more importantly, we moved beyond showcasing.
We were delighted to:
- Welcome regional leaders from across Cameroon, including FEICOM
- Sign five Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs)
- Establish a clear pathway to expand digital classroom solutions across the region
That’s the kind of progress that matters—turning conversations into commitments.
Why This Matters
The Commonwealth has a unique advantage: shared systems, legal frameworks, and a common language for doing business.
But potential alone doesn’t create impact.
Execution does.
What we saw today was alignment between:
- Governments ready to invest in future-ready systems
- Private sector partners bringing scalable solution
- Institutions willing to collaborate across borders
Looking Ahead
The opportunity across the Commonwealth is massive—but it will be defined by those who move fastest and think long-term.
For Promethean, that means continuing to:
- Expand access to digital education
- Partner with governments and institutions
- Deliver solutions that scale across regions
Today wasn’t just another event. It was a step toward building the infrastructure—digital, educational, and economic—that will define the next decade.
